Patronus Summer Jolly

An early start for us all as we met at Hamble Marina ready to board a Solent cruiser – our home for the day.  After the Captain’s safety briefing, with the sun shining and a beautiful blue sea ahead of us, we settled down for a relaxing cruise across the Solent towards the famous seaport town of Cowes, Isle of Wight, helped along the way by a glass or two of Pimms.  Once docked we eagerly disembarked for a bit of retail therapy amongst the picturesque shops in Cowes High Street, or just took a gentle stroll along the Esplanade watching the world go by.rsz_summer_jolly_photo (1)

Back on board for a delicious lunch and then we cruised round to a peaceful bay where the Captain dropped anchor and the serious business of enjoying ourselves really started!! Jet skis and paddle boards were deployed and several hardy members of our group even braved the 18oC Sea for a swim – some even jumping in off the top deck!

With afternoon tea served, and everyone dry and warm after the chill of the sea, we enjoyed the cruise back to Hamble with music playing in the background, sunbathing on top deck or just chatting with friends and colleagues.

All in all a fabulous day out that I can safely say everyone on board, aged 4 years and upwards, thoroughly enjoyed – it will be hard to beat next year!
